Thermostatic Valve

This component is one of two temperature controls on the HPU. (The oil temperature thermostat is the second temperature control.)

This component is used for the proportional regulation of cooling water depending on the setting and the sensor temperature.

The valve activation point is set via a graduated scale ranging from 1 to 5, where 1 represents the minimum and 5 the maximum setpoints. The temperature range over the scale is 25 to 65 deg C (77 to 150 deg F). The valve is set to 3 which represents approximately turn-on point of 110 deg F. The sensor is placed inside of the oil reservoir.
